NRA Instructor Pistol Shooting Course
Short Description: This 16-hour course teaches the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, promoting and teaching NRA’s Basic Pistol Shooting course.
Prerequisite: Possession of basic firearm safety and shooting skills is a prerequisite for certification as an NRA instructor. Prior to the instructor training, candidates complete a pre-course questionnaire and demonstrate their firearm background in pre-course assessment exercises. This course in conjunction with the NCDOJ Concealed Carry Law course will allow you to teach concealed carry students in North Carolina.

Speed and Accuracy Course
Short Description: Students should expect to shoot at least 200 rounds of ammunition. Students will, at minimum, learn basic defensive shooting skills using a flash picture sight, shoot down a hall, transition to non-dominate hand, shoot on the move, shoot over a barricade, perform multiple action drills, group shots rapidly using a flash picture sight, transition to non-dominate hand, perform multiple action drills, magazine drops, and other drills.

These instructional shooting clinics are designed to teach you firearm safety and the fundamentals of marksmanship, giving you the confidence you need to safely handle and operate a firearm upon completion.

Home Firearm Safety
Short Description: Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, for the safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home.
The course begins on select Sunday’s at 10:00am and end at approximately 2:00pm. Students are taught NRA’s three rules for safe gun handling; primary causes of firearms accidents; firearm parts; how to unload certain action types; ammunition components; cleaning; care; safe storage of firearms in the home; and the benefits of becoming an active participant in the shooting sports. There is no age limit for the classroom instruction but for the range students must be 14 yrs of age and accompanied by an adult. Beverages are provided and a lunch break will be given.
This course has an optional range component where students will be allowed to gain proficiency using a handgun or 22lr rifle. Students are encouraged to bring their own firearms but may utilize Reese Firearms 22lr handguns and rifles.
