If you are a new shooter and want to get the basics down before taking your concealed carry class then this is the class for you. Cost is only $40 and you will receive a $25 voucher off your next class, including your concealed carry class! No gun? No problem! You may use our 22lr with ammunition at no additional cost.
Course Description:
NSSF’s First Shots program is the perfect introduction for anyone new to firearms. Whether you’ve never touched a gun before or just want a safe, supportive environment to learn the fundamentals, this class covers everything you need to get started.
Students will receive a hands-on introduction to safe gun handling, basic marksmanship, range etiquette, and firearm operation — all under the guidance of a certified instructor. This course is designed to build confidence and help new shooters experience the enjoyment of target shooting in a professional, safety-focused setting.
All necessary firearms, ammunition, eye/ear protection, and targets are provided. Students will also receive educational materials and a $25 NSSF reward coupon to use toward future training.
Topics Covered:
- 
Firearm safety and the four universal safety rules
 - 
Proper handling, loading, and unloading procedures
 - 
Range commands and etiquette
 - 
Fundamentals of marksmanship (grip, stance, sight alignment, trigger control)
 - 
Live fire under direct supervision
 
Duration: 1 hour classroom instruction followed by 2 hours of range instruction. Course is taught on select Sunday’s from 1pm-4pm
Tuition: $40 (includes range fee, firearm use, ammunition, and materials)
Experience Level: No prior experience required — perfect for beginners!
